I-130 Petition For Alien Relative
Immediate relatives of U.S. citizens and Green Card holders may be sponsored using Form I-130 petition for Alien Relative. Immediate relatives are your husband or wife and your children. Additionally, U.S. citizens may also sponsor their parents and their siblings. You must provide evidence proving your relationship to your relative with your Form I-130, and a separate form must be filed for each individual relative.
I-485 - Adjustment of Status
Adjustment of Status Application Form I-485 is used by a person in the United States to apply for lawful permanent resident status. You can file this application as the Principal Applicant if you are filing or have an approved I-130 petition or who is otherwise qualified to adjust status.
